I help you with the care you deserve.
My goal: Transforming mental healthcare
My mission is to provide effective and innovative therapeutic services to individuals and their families.
I build resilience, hope, and wellbeing to all those we serve through services that foster healthy living and self-sufficiency.
A personal approach
I use an integrated theoretical approach that is based on family systems therapy and incorporates solution-focused and interpersonal process theory to help persons I work with meet their goals and make positive change. This type of therapy is client-centered, works closely on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, and helps people understand underlying issues that impacts one’s life and prevents one from resolving problems easily. I believe that therapy can be challenging and uncomfortable at times, but should also be genuine and involve humor and fun. Together, I guide my clients toward self-discovery and meaningful solutions to their problems to help each person live a productive, fulfilling, and happy life.
Carolyn Artale, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Supervisor. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University with a specialization in Children and Family studies. I have worked with various populations for over a decade with extensive experience working in the fields of addiction, trauma, and family/partner therapy. I have worked in a range of therapeutic settings that include schools, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), outpatient practices, and in-home therapy through New Jersey’s System of Care (CMO). I am certified to provide Nurtured Parenting and ArcGrow therapy.
I spent several years as Program Director for community-based therapeutic programs that centered around substance abuse awareness, gang prevention, and social/emotional development.
I am a Certified Clinical Supervisor who provides clinical supervision to master-level social work therapists seeking to obtain their advanced clinical license. I taught in the Graduate School of Social Services with Rutgers University for five years and believe strongly in the critical need for mastery in theory to effectively work with people.
